Staxiom is startup accounting. We handle the bookkeeping, the tax prep, and the capital strategy behind a raise, an exit, or just steady growth, so your books hold up the day someone asks to see them. Staxiom was founded in 2024 and is based in Brea, California.
Bookkeeping is the floor for every client. From there we add tax prep and the capital strategy work: what a raise costs you in dilution, what an exit does to your taxes, and which elections and deadlines matter before they pass. Because we're already in the books, we also catch the credits and incentives most back offices miss, including the federal R&D credit and state programs.
Pricing is a fixed monthly fee, set by what you need, never a percentage of a refund.
Our team was on the early side of Ardius, the R&D tax credit company Gusto acquired in 2021, so we've built a startup and been through an exit ourselves. Our co-founder and CEO, Josh Lee, founded Ardius and ran EY's West Coast R&D Tax Credit practice for thirteen years, and he reviews the credit work we do.
